Risk Manager (CISI)

Responsibilities:

Develop and implement risk management strategies and policies to mitigate financial, operational, and regulatory risks associated with Forex trading activities.
Conduct comprehensive risk assessments and analyses, identifying potential risks and vulnerabilities across the organization's operations, systems, and processes.
Monitor and evaluate market trends, economic indicators, and geopolitical events that may impact Forex market volatility and exposure.
Establish risk limits, thresholds, and controls for trading activities, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and internal risk appetite.
Collaborate with trading desks, operations, compliance, and other departments to assess risk exposures, address issues, and implement risk mitigation measures.
Design and maintain risk reporting systems and dashboards, providing timely and accurate risk analysis and reporting to senior management and stakeholders.
Develop and maintain relationships with regulatory authorities, auditors, and external partners, facilitating regulatory compliance and audit processes.
Conduct training sessions and workshops to educate staff on risk management principles, best practices, and compliance requirements.
Participate in the development and enhancement of risk management frameworks, methodologies, and tools to adapt to evolving market and regulatory changes.
Lead investigations into risk incidents, breaches, or fraudulent activities, coordinating with internal and external parties to address issues and implement corrective actions.

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Risk Management, or related field.
Certified by the Chartered Institute for Securities & Investment (CISI).
Minimum of 2 years of experience in risk management roles within the financial services industry, with specific experience in Forex trading risk management preferred.
Solid understanding of financial markets, trading instruments, and risk factors associated with Forex trading.
Knowledge of regulatory requirements and compliance standards applicable to Forex trading, particularly those set by the Securities and Commodities Authority (SCA).
Strong analytical and quantitative skills, with the ability to assess complex risk scenarios and develop effective risk mitigation strategies.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with crossfunctional teams and senior management.
Proven leadership abilities, with experience in leading risk management initiatives and driving change within organizations.
Ability to work well under pressure and manage multiple priorities in a dynamic and fastpaced environment.
