North Kuwait Asset Project; Senior Geophysicist and Team Lead for:

• Cretaceous clastic and Carbonate reservoirs Exploration project; performed seismic interpretation, attributes generation and reservoir characterization to develop petroleum system analysis understanding.
• Delivered high quality regional- to prospect-scale evaluation and well locations proposition to asset teams. Integrate seismic- and well-based stratigraphic information in multi-disciplinary earth model for complete petroleum systems assessment. Contribute to quantification of prospect risk and volume uncertainty.
• Use seismic data to interpret possible structure settings, possible sedimentary conceptual models with integration of core, log response, and seismic information. Quantify uncertainty in the data and demonstrate impact on prospect volume to quantify probability of presence of reservoir quality rock away from well-control and conclude possible leads with maturing to drillable prospects plan.
• Drilling and geologic operations, logging programs and well tests follow up with instantaneous seismic interpretation update and support while drilling.
• On time Support of the rig schedule by feeding with new well locations following detailed process of identifying leads until matured drillable prospects and ranking by calculating COS and assessment of associated uncertainties and possible potential hydrocarbon risked and un-risked volumes. Three prospects are submitted, one of them is under drilling now
• Weekly, monthly documentation, presentations, TCM and steering committee participation inline with the department strategy.
• Third parties close follow up and guidance with the asset planning.

Algeria Ahnet Tight Reservoir Integrated Asset Management Project (2018-2020)

• Led the subsurface team activities to meet the asset commitments, drilling schedule and field development plan production targets.
• Led technically the compilation, quality assurance, seismic interpretation, and other subsurface data, to generate integrated and coherent interpretations of the subsurface geology and petroleum system at reservoir scale.
• Contributed in performing G&G team subsurface evaluations, reservoir characterization, well location propositions, interpretation update and results delivery to FDP team and integration with operation execution and frac’ing teams. 
• Interacted closely with reservoir engineers and other subsurface team members to produce an understanding of reservoir compartmentalization incorporating production and other dynamic data
• Prepare and give technical presentations and reports to Asset management. Undertake integrated geoscience studies in support of overall subsurface evaluation.
• Liaise effectively with other disciplines and provide timely advices to Asset management
• Comply with Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) requirements to ensure all activities within own jurisdiction are executed in safe manner.

Algeria Illizi basin, Algeria (2016-2018)

• Interpreted and merged the available 2D and 3D seismic surveys focusing on the Paleozoic Cambro-Ordovician reservoirs in Takeouzet Oil and tight Gas field fields, Illizi basin, as a member of a FDP study team providing structural and attributes maps defining the reservoir limitations and volcanic intrusions distributions among the reservoir, for the reserves calculations.
  • In Takeouzet Oil and tight unconventional Gas field, predicted the fractures orientations and intensity, possible lateral facies changes and max. and min. horizontal stresses directions to provide the optimum drilling orientation scenarios for horizontal wells in combination with Geomechanics study.
• Seismic interpretation and Evaluation of Unconventional Tight Gas and sweet spots fields and seismic attribute maps using AVO seismic inversion and EEI to predict possible sweet spots with potential fractures system, and/or possible likely lithology (min. clay content) within the reservoir for Bourarhat fields (Illizi Basin eastern Algeria).

Algeria Berkine basin (Structure and stratigraphic traps), Algeria (2014-2106)

The basin includes many blocks and fields, I have. 

• Interpreted and merged the seismic interpretations, recognized the structural setting, the stratigraphic features incorporating well data and log responses, and evaluated the hydrocarbon potentiality in the Berkine basin fields (SFNE, SF, SFSW, RBK, BKNE fields) in Algeria, providing regional maps defining the Triassic fluvial reservoirs distributions.
• Fully interpreted and evaluated the complex structure deep Paleozoic reservoirs of the BBK field, Berkine Basin. Algeria, providing structural and stratigraphic models solving the reservoirs compartmentalization and characterizations, and consequently introduced ten proposed locations with their risk assessments for ranking order, four of them drilled till now successfully as discoveries, and one as infill.

Algeria Ahnet Basin (Structure and stratigraphic traps), Algeria (2013-2014)

• The Cambro-Ordovician reservoir is tight (phi < 5%). The reservoir deliverability is driven by accessing natural fractures, and the challenge the fracture network parameters and sweet spots.
  • Contributed in the asset management of one of Ahnet basin Tight Gas fields, by leading the G&G team in subsurface evaluations, reservoir characterization, well location propositions including the integrations of the seismic interpretation, seismic inversion, petrophysics, Geomechanics and static modeling then results delivery to FDP team and integration with operation execution and frac’ing teams. 
  • Evaluated the Unconventional tight Gas Paleozoic reservoirs of North Ahnet Baisn fields (Zerafa, ECF) using 20,000 km length 2D seismic and 600 km2 3D volumes interpretation and attributes analysis to provide leads and prospective areas, used the seismic attribute analysis to predict the reservoir delineations, modeling with the petrophysical parameters, integrated the structural potential with the stratigraphic responses, produced (sweet spots) maps for the available gas reservoirs (according to the AVO class response),to highlight the leads and prospects area.
    • Used the seismic attributes analysis and modelling with the amplitude spectral decomposition to predict the Carboniferous reservoir incised valley distribution and the vertical changes in the reservoir depositional model.
    • Prepared a new seismic acquisition design in integration with the contractors
    • Followed up the seismic processing workflow, prepared all required seismic technical activities for (VSPs, markers, Well Ties, investigated complex structures impacts, possible multiples,…) 

Oman Data Room:

• Participated in the evaluation of the Paleozoic unconventional reservoirs of Shale Plays and tight sandstone reservoirs of Masirah Bay and Lower Al Bashair formations respectively in different blocks of Oman.

Saudi Arabia Kidan FDP study (Structure and stratigraphic traps), Rub’ AL Khali Basin. (2012-2013)

• Conducted the reservoir geophysical interpretation in an integrated team for the FDP study purposes of Kidan Field, and provided the interpretation grids and seismic stratigraphic attributes defining the Arab Carbonate stratigraphic reservoir distributions and characterizations to the continued the FDP study phases.

Oued Maya Basin, Algeria (2010-2012)

• Seismically interpreted and evaluated complex structure Hassi Messaoud NE fields.
• Re-evaluated and seismically interpreted and reservoir characterization of Haoud Berkaoui fields and surrounding areas, after drilling campaign unexpected results. 

Bechar basin, North Western Algeria (2008 – 2010)

• Interpreted 2D seismic data of about 6000 km length with moderate to poor quality data, to evaluate the Carboniferous (including stratigraphic phenomena in Carboniferous section that could be Carbonate reefs build ups), Devonian and Ordovician reservoirs.
• Interpreted a 3D seismic data of about 900 km2 and merged to the 2D seismic data, evaluated the Devonian and Ordovician reservoirs and the petroleum system and risk assessments, to provide potential leads and prospects.

July 2004 – 2008

Geophysicist for Petrobel, JV operation Company with ENI, Egypt 

Responsibilities:

• Interpreting and evaluating shallow and deep Gas targets in the Mediterranean off shore Area, Egypt, Port Fouad Marine and Temsah fields by using seismic DHI anomalies, seismic attributes and stratigraphic traps concepts (development plan and prospect generation).
• Interpreting different formation tops and reservoirs in Belayim Marine oil field (development plan and prospect generation), and used the thickness predictions for prospects generations and evaluations, Gulf of Suez central province for a member of multi-disciplinary asset evaluation team.
• Used the AVO and wedge modelling to predict the seismic anomalies parameters (saturation) and thicknesses variations across the potential prospective areas and leads upgrade.
• planned and supervised seismic surveys with the contractors ensuring provision of necessary preparation and arrangement for execution of seismic survey project including contracts, Government permission and budgetary procedures and supervise the seismic data acquisition and processing while conducting assessment of data quality and preparing seismic operational reports for Abu-Madi on shore Nile Delta Area 3D seismic data survey acquisition project, Egypt,
• Interpreting different formation tops and reservoirs in Belayim Land oil field (development plan and prospect generation), Gulf of Suez central province for one year.
