Education / Training
About aisha ashraf:
I am a UK trained principal with over two decades of experience across the UK and UAE, dedicated to shaping education systems that prioritise adaptability and holistic growth. My leadership style emphasizes co-agency and upskilling, fostering communities that prepare students for the challenges and opportunities of life. From spearheading sustainability initiatives to shaping educational reforms in the UAE, my commitment to nurturing future-ready learners and fostering systems thinking underscores my passion for transformative education. I am looking forward to finding that next exciting opportunity.
Experience
With over 22 years of experience in UK and UAE education, I am deeply committed to cultivating culturally responsive educators whilst placing value on content expertise, student progress, and academic rigor.
Beyond conventional knowledge, I excel in strategic planning, curriculum development, and staff training and development. Notable recent achievements include leading the development of Health Education research for ADEK, now Moral Education, conducting the kernel research for the development of leadership and teacher training initiatives at ECAE, being nominated as a lead trainer in ADEK projects such as the Growing Great Leaders program, developing a GL Education sponsored teacher support program, and spearheading the Oxford and PACE schools COP28 Sustainability Project. I also have extensive experience in advancing global teacher professional development programs and national strategy development.
As an educator, I consistently refine my perspectives, utilising the lens of global citizenship to challenge the kaleidoscope of boundaries we find in traditional education and the rapidly evolving knowledge economy. This proactive approach not only fosters innovation but also enables the enhancement of research-based teaching methodologies, curriculum design, and implementation. Education, to me, is more than a conveyor belt of information or skills; it's a deeply human experience enriched by personal connections and cultural diversity. With this ethos, I am dedicated to preparing the next generation of educators and learners for success in an ever-changing world.
