I have total 9 years of teaching experience. I taught Zoology particularly Vertebrate and Invertebrate biology subjects as a “Teaching Assistant” to graduate and post graduate students (BS I-II & BS III-IV) in the department of Zoology, Jinnah University for Women, Karachi. During studies, I worked as a “Research Associate” in Agriculture research project entitled ''Fish breeding and culture technology development along the Coast of Pakistan'' funded by PARC-ALP from 1-08-2017 to 31-12-2019 and also worked as a “Skilled Person” in a follow-up research project entitled “Commercialization of fish culture technology in coastal region of Pakistan” funded by Pakistan Agriculture Research council, Islamabad, from 2021 to 2023. In this project, we cultured marine or brackish-water fish species i.e. Acanthopagrus berda (blackfin seabream), A. latus (yellowfin seabream), Chanos chanos (milkfish), and Seabass species, als worked on fish nutrition (pelleted diet) and natural productivity (planktons) of ponds throughout this period. I supervised BS & MS/M.Phil students in my lab regarding experimentation, sampling collection, teaching aquaculture laboratory protocols, data record, data design , data analyse & compilation, thesis, reports and research artcile writing and submit publications. I published several research articles in national and international peer reviewed (Impact Factor) journals and proceedings in international conferences. I previously worked as a Research Fellow in the Fisheries laboratory in the Marine Biology department from 2015 to 2016 on the fish biology of Sillago sihama species (locally called lady fish) and my overall responsibilities were to sample collection from fish harbor & fish landing sites, sorting, stock assessment, morphological assessment, dissection, scientifically accepted photography of internal organs particularly focused on the air/gas bladder for species identification. Furthermore, I had research on the elasmobranchs or cartilaginous fishes such as Sharks, Rays, and skates such as survey fish harbors and landing sites to record the mass capturing / over fishing of elasmobranchs, species sample collection, sorting, record stock assessment, abundance, sex ratio, mortality ratio, and species identification by morphological assessment from fish harbor/fish landing sites, further genetically identified. I did qualitative and quantitative assessment including extensive survey and interviews of fisherman as well as owners of fish processing plants.

I'm holding a Bachelor degree (BS 4 years) in 2012 in the field of Applied Zoology with 2.71 CGPA. Then, I completed M.Phil studies in 2017 and thesis title is “Nutritional Studies and Preparation of Some Potential Value Added Products from Demersal Fish Stocks of Pakistani Waters (Northern Arabian Sea)” from Marine Biology, University of Karachi with 3.42 CGPA. In December 2022, I have done PhD from Marine Biology department with 3.86 CGPA. My PhD specialization is Aquaculture and Fisheries and the title of my thesis is “Nutritional Strategies for Increasing Growth, Production and Meat Quality of Seabreams (Pisces: Sparidae) in Earthen Ponds along Sindh Coast, Pakistan”.
