Husain Abbas

I am a results-driven Managing Director with hands-on leadership experience across manufacturing, timber production, and building-materials distribution in Botswana. As Managing Director of Nata Timber Industries (Pty) Ltd, Gulmohur Group of Companies, and Abbas Lumber Industries (Pty) Ltd, I am known for disciplined execution, commercial foresight, and building scalable operations. I combine strategic decision-making with operational involvement, strong governance, and long-term value creation, while maintaining high standards of integrity, accountability, and stakeholder trust.

I have eight years of experience across Nata Timber Industries (Pty) Ltd, Gulmohur Group of Companies, and Abbas Lumber Industries (Pty) Ltd, including four years serving as Managing Director.

I hold an LLB (Hons) from King’s College London, completed between 2019 and 2024, with studies undertaken both in person in London and through a hybrid format following the COVID-19 period. In 2025, I commenced the ACCA qualification with Arthur Portland College via online study, which I am currently pursuing on a part-time basis alongside my executive responsibilities.
