Maria Quiroga

My name is Maria Julia Quiroga, I am Bolivian and a lawyer by profession. Fourteen years ago, my family and I decided to move to Panama. We lived there for ten years and moved to the UAE because of my husband’s job. For six years we have been living in Dubai.

The most important thing for my husband and me was to give our daughter a comprehensive education. When we found ourselves alone and without any family in Panama, I decided to not work outside home. This decision was completely personal. 

This new stage in our lives implied a lot of learning since we adopted new habits to complete our objectives. 

As years passed by, with experience and education, I became an excellent manager and assistant for my home.

As my daughter became more independent through the years, I decided to dedicate myself to my profession. I started to look for job opportunities, but since I didn't count on recent work experience, I was taken into consideration up until the interviews. 

Because of not getting employment as a lawyer, I decided to take other courses to upgrade my education and begin working in the field of teaching and eventually link it with teaching law. While keeping my main objective to fully return to the field of law.
