I have passionately managed and coordinated a wide range of large-scale projects of end-to-end ERP implementations in public and private ensuring their timely completion and adherence to scope, schedule, time and other constraints. I am skilled in project planning, resource allocation, and communication with stakeholders and decision makers to successfully accomplish project objectives. In December 2010, in the Ethiopian Ministry of Finance and Economic Development (MoFED), now called Ministry of Finance (MoF), I was one of the potentially selected Key Users for the IFMIS-Ethiopia project. IFMIS-Ethiopia project is a nationwide e-governance for Federal Ethiopia owned by Ministry of Finance and financed by the World Bank. I made meaningful contribution starting from the pilot-phase of the implementation to several rollouts at different Federal organizations. Currently, I have been working as an ERP Implementation Project Manager at a multi-sector conglomerate company since May 2020. I successfully managed projects ensuring seamless coordination between cross-functional teams.

1. Project Manager, ERP Implementation Project; BEAEKA General Business from May 2020 till present.

  • Developed project charter, project plans, roles/responsibilities of project team.
  • Defined digitalization project scope, schedule/full scale project plans, cost, objectives/goals, benefits, risks, milestones, & deliverables.

  • Monitored/evaluated projects as per the agreement, standard and plan.
  • Managed vendor contracts; by evaluating Contract Payment Claims for IT products supply/implementation per Installation Check List and RFP.
  • Examined and evaluated the organization wide IT operation and control.
  • Analyzed information communication security programs for existing ICT system.

4.  Senior Application Manager; Ministry of Finance, (IFMIS-Ethiopia PMO) from 12/2014 – 10/2016

  • Monitored and managed both front-end and back-end security of the complex Oracle applications on LINUX/UNIX servers; and managed users for both Function and Data Security.
  • Configured/administered Oracle E-Business Suite Approval Management System
  • Performed and administered Backup and Recovery of the servers.
  • Provided guidance to Reports and Forms developers, in accordance with pre-determined guidelines and standards, to ensure project compliance with specifications and design instructions.

5.  Database Administration Main Expert/ Team Leader; Ministry of Finance, (IFMIS-Ethiopia PMO) from 08/2010 – 12/2014

  • Planned, installed, and configured databases and database-driven applications. 
  • Defined, and tested plans for database backup and recovery and developed as per the plan;
  • Managed and monitored security of centrally managed ICT center
  • Contributed to the Policy Formulation team in a high-end ICT environment
  • Provided technical support, maintained and ensured data and system security both in Windows and the Linux/UNIX systems. Maintained inventory of IT resources including licenses.
