MOHAMAD BLEIK

At present, I am working as the Business Development specialist in Abu Dhabi Vocational Education & Training Institute (ADVETI), a government institution that caters for National students in the Vocational Education. I am also responsible for developing and implementing an annual outreach plan that includes promotional and educational strategies (school visitations) and programs. Moreover, I am in charge of establishing, liaising and conducting communications and collaboration avenues and paths among various ADVETI stakeholders, partners and external educational institutions. These outreach plans, communications and collaborations have helped ADVETI meet the academic and administrative demands and challenges. 

Prior to my current position at ADVETI, I have held a position in Media, Community Relations & Marketing and outreach, and Industry Relation coordinator for the Higher Colleges of Technology (HCT), Abu Dhabi-UAE. 

In my capacity as a community relations coordinator, my nine years’ experience at   HCT had shaped my experience in student affairs relation. The highlights of my achievements and accomplishments at HCT include building bridges with the external and internal media channels, promoting the professional image of the institution; throughout writing English and Arabic press releases, and assisting in publishing the college magazine “Quest”.  Working directly with students, and assisting them in their career path, has given me the opportunity to be engaged in the career counseling center. During my 9 years in HCT I had the chance to work in different departments, among them was the marketing, Alumni, and media, in which I prepared  Press conferences and media releases on weekly basis and required communication, managerial, marketing and entrepreneurial skills. Moreover, an integral duty that I performed at HCT pertains to sponsorship and industry relations, whereas I visit private and public sectors to secure major gifts to the college (Financial Support). These   sponsorships play   a vital role in students’ external and internal academic and non- academic activities. The average annual sponsored budget I have secured to build students’ capacities has reached 700,000. Currently I secured projects for ADVETI in the field of Training and Vocational education exceeding AED 215M
