I'm a UK-trained consultant in palliative medicine with experience in the UK, Caribbean and the UAE.

Passionate about palliative care education and advocacy

Experience

I gained my CCT in palliative medicine in 2017 while training at Imperial College London, UK. I then worked as a consultant in palliative medicine and clinical lead till 2020 prior to relocating to the UAE. I helped to commission a new palliative care service within the government health service in Trinidad West Indies and have set up the palliative care service at Burjeel Medical City in Abu Dhabi. I am passionate about advocating for palliative care in the UAE and am a member of the UAE Cancer Control Committee and the UAE representative to the WHO Eastern Mediterranean Region Palliative Care Expert Network.
