Passionate and Inspiring Geography teacher. I am dedicated to bringing innovation to my classroom and ensuring my students are fully engaged in the learning process. I strive to enhance their learning through a variety of instructional techniques that centre around their needs and interests. Working collaboratively with fellow teachers, administrators, and support specialists, I go above and beyond to exceed individual student needs and achievements. 

I create effective lesson plans, evaluate assignments, and present complex concepts in a way that is easy for students to understand. My teaching style emphasizes higher-order critical thinking, encouraging students to adopt a growth mindset and achieve greater success. By creating a positive and inclusive classroom environment, I aim to promote student performance and foster a love of learning that will last a lifetime.

As the Head of Geography, reporting to the Head of Humanities, the geography department successfully maintained high levels of student engagement and academic performance through effective curriculum design and personalized academic support. My teaching philosophy is to incorporate cultural understanding and to offer diverse perspectives to foster an inclusive learning environment whereby all students can have a positive impact on their wider school community.

Core Responsibilities included:

• Developed and executed innovative lesson plans that covered both mandatory and supplementary course topics to facilitate successful learning and cross-curricula connections.
• Amidst the Covid-19 pandemic, I implemented a range of measures to facilitate active learning and formative assessment in an online educational setting. This involved integrating various interactive tools, preparing online educational tasks, and setting up online academic report tracking to enable ongoing monitoring of student progress. 
• I took part in numerous Continuing Professional Development (CPD) courses to enhance my teaching skills. These have included programs such as Philosophy for Children and the Apple Teacher Certification. By actively seeking out opportunities to develop my teaching skills, I aim to continually improve the quality of education that I am able to provide to my students.
