Rami Shishan

I have more than 20 years of experience, mainly in senior leadership roles, I bring a strong background in strategic partnerships, external relations, communications, and strategic planning. My career spans leading organizations across the UAE, Kuwait, and Jordan, where I have worked closely with government entities, multinational companies, UN agencies, and international donor institutions. Throughout this experience, I have built and managed long-term partnerships with foundations, philanthropists, and private-sector leaders, focusing on collaborations that deliver measurable and sustainable impact.

I have more than 20 years of experience in business development and resource mobilization. I'm currently heading the strategic partnerships unit at UNHCR UAE and Kuwait. I established new partnership opportunities in the GCC and built partnerships with foundations and corporations by developing engagement plans to strengthen the relationship with them and expand the public outreach. At the same time, I launched a network of executive and philanthropic leaders from the private sector to create sustainable and long-term solutions for refugees. 

I was the Director of Strategic Partnerships and Communications at Queen Rania Foundation (Jordan), where I developed local and international fundraising and communications strategies and plans, coordinated with the board fundraising committee to attract new prospective donors and board members. Before that, I was the General Manager of LOYAC Jordan, a regional NGO that aims to empower youth for employability and serve their community. Previously, I spent many years with INJAZ/Junior Achievement Worldwide (Jordan) as the Business Development Director, in which I was handling partnerships, fundraising, board growth and management, organization Quality Management System, M&E and entrepreneurship programs.
 

Working with humanitarian, educational, and youth empowerment organizations gave me the chance to be part of "change" I want to see in the society, hence taking the decision to complete my Master’s degree in Applied Educational Leadership and Management at University College London UCL.
