Rima Harfouch

Currently located in Fujairah, UAE. I have been working as a Music Teacher for the past four years, in Lebanon as well as in the UAE. I have also worked as a Music Therapist with several International Organizations. 

I have an immense passion for Music as well as teaching. My teaching philosophy is based on the principle of Holistic and Cognitive growth. Aside from that, I am a professional classical pianist with experience in leading children choirs and music composition. 

I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Music Pedagogy from the Holy Spirit University of Kaslik. I speak Arabic, English and French fluently.   

I have been a music teacher for the past 4 years and have experienced teaching students of all ages and abilities. I started out as a private piano instructor, working with students of all ages and levels. I have taught students from elementary school through university. I am passionate about music and believe that it has the ability to enrich the lives of everyone, regardless of age or experience level. I am confident in my ability to become an asset to your educational institution.

As you will note, I have acquired a Bachelor's Degree in Music Education from the Holy Spirit University of Kaslik. This has given me valuable knowledge and training related to the new educational methodology for music.

As a versatile individual, I have had the opportunity to hold a number of professional roles including Music Teacher, Piano Instructor, Music Therapist, and Private Music Instructor. Through these experiences, I have been fortunate enough to educate a diverse group of elementary and middle school students, who functioned below- and on grade level.

I have also worked as a music teacher at local and international organizations. I taught children and adolescents how to play various Orff instruments. I was able to teach them how to read sheet music, as well as how to play by ear and utilize their singing voices. I also taught them about the history of music, so they could appreciate the songs they were hearing and encouraged them to express themselves through improvising and composing melodies and songs based on acquired music concepts in class.

I believe that one of the most important qualities of a good teacher is patience, perseverance and being passionate about what they teach. A good teacher must be able to work with students of all ages and abilities. I believe that I possess these qualities, which is why I would make an excellent addition to your staff.

My goal is to instill a sense of music appreciation, while at the same time teaching students about the technical aspects of music. Furthermore, I strive to expand children's interests by organizing choirs, integrating diverse lessons, and incorporating a wide range of activities and cooperative music projects. By utilizing these effective methods, I am able to reach out to each student, introduce new concepts, maintain a motivating environment, and encourage students to blossom into successful individuals.
