Samiya Rasheed

With over 14 years of experience in education, I have served as a homeroom teacher, secondary English teacher, KeyStage Coordinator and currently as a Vice Principal. Throughout my career, I have developed strong skills in instructional leadership, teacher mentoring, curriculum planning, behavior management, and data-driven decision-making. I’m also experienced in leading professional development, supporting school improvement initiatives, and fostering a positive, inclusive school culture. I bring a collaborative leadership style, a strong work ethic, and a deep commitment to student achievement and staff development.

With over 15 years of experience in education, I have held progressive leadership and teaching roles across both primary and secondary settings. I began my career at Global English School, Al Ain (2010–2017), where I served as an English Teacher and later as Class Teacher and Key Stage 1–2 Coordinator. In 2017, I joined Garden City British School, Al Ain, where I have been a key contributor since its founding. My roles have included Class Teacher, English Teacher (Key Stage 2–3), Senior Teacher, and Key Stage 2–3 Coordinator. I was appointed Acting Vice Principal in August 2023 and currently serve as the school's Vice Principal, a position I have held since February 2024. My experience spans curriculum leadership, staff development, student wellbeing, and whole-school improvement.
