ELECTRICAL DESIGN ENGINEER

November 2016- April 2020 with Sreelakshmi Engineering Corporation (Contracting firm A Grade) as an Electrical Cad Design Engineer

Responsibilities:

• Responsibilities of an Electrical Design Engineer.
• Handling the projects like electrification of commercial High-rise buildings and Industries.
• Preparing of Estimation, budgeting and proposals of various projects, Material procurement.
• Negotiating with the distributors for materials purchasing, planning of projects.
• Designing of single line diagram of Electrical system including VDB, GSB, USS,GA, Solar and HT buildings and Calculation of lightning arrestor installation.
• Preparation of estimated Schedule for all buildings.

May 2020- March 2022 with Shine Electricals (LEADING ‘A’ GRADE ELECTRICALCONTRACTOR IN KERALA) as an Electrical Engineer Cum Autocad Draughtsman

Responsibilities:

• Manage facilities management operations of 266 housing units (five buildings) and common grounds for this organization's Congregate and Assisted Living for senior residents.
• Successfully restructured company practices, policies, and procedures resulting in dramatic improvements in areas of:
  • General Management: vendor selection, contract management, capital expenditures, inventory control, purchasing, staff development, and management/ contractor relations.
  • Technical: HVAC, manual Building Management Systems (BMS), electrical plumbing, blueprint preservation, and management of information systems.
• Coordinate emergency response procedures, and act as primary point of contact for management, insurance agents, fire marshals, and town inspectors concerning Loss Control & Prevention issues.
• Oversee the hiring, training, scheduling, and supervision of 12 direct reports, and define job responsibilities as dictated by the organization's ever-changing business needs; instituted performance measurement tools that increased employee recognition, and productivity.
• Ensure the safety of residents and  maintenance staff through continuous testing and maintenance of lighting, fire alarm, boiler and generator back-up systems; enforce mandatory use of protective gear during low/ high-voltage work in accordance with local/ national jurisdiction and OSHA regulatory compliance.
• Preparation of single line diagrams using AutoCAD software.
• Calculation of Fault level, Earthing , Cable size & Voltage drop
• Online and Offline Documents preparation to Electrical inspectorate (SURAKSHA).
• Preparing Bill of Materials (BOM), Tenders and Supporting documents as per Electrical Inspectorate & CPWD standards.
• Preparing tender adjustment schedule with unit prices, when applicable andcheck all the addendums and communications received from the client, ensuring that all items are being clarified and considered in the pricing
• Uploading Online tenders and documents
• Attend Pre-tender meetings and site visits
• Pricing material and labour cost of each BOQ item in the price comparison sheets, by using the quotations and a pre –determined manpower production rates.
• Planning & managing resources (man power & materials).
• Technical Evaluation of supplier/sub –contractor quotations as per tender requirements.
• Follow up with the supplier /sub –contractor to obtain quotation in time and    

     clarify to all their queries and meetings with the supplier /sub-contractor  

     when required

• Coordination with client and consultant for getting approval clearance before and installation of electrical equipments.
