Key Achievements:

• Transform the supply chain function to generate revenue instead of being a cost center. Where we achieved annual external revenue of EGP 65M during the first year of operation.

• Design and manage an Integrated Automated System project that covers all GB logistics activities that are compatible with the GBA Corporate Automated system.

• Redesign GB logistics business modules to achieve EGP 3.8M annual cost reduction.

• Restructure GB Auto Distribution Sub-unit by expanding the distribution team by 120%, 170 employees, to cover all Logistics activities across Egypt.

•Maintain 0.03% inventory discrepancies during the last 4 years instead of the previous rate of 1%.

• Create and manage several Service Level Agreements and related KPIs to ensure providing external & internal stakeholders with the best service standards at minimum cost.

• Create GBL’s strategies and ensure they feed in and achieve the company’s vision. 

• Set Company’s annual sales target, set short-term and long-term plans, and lead the sales and operations teams to achieve them. (Yearly sales target = EGP 77M).

• Lead the process of creation of tenders’ proposals to ensure the best profitability, and achieve the company’s annual targets and vision.

• Monitor GBL’s monthly financial performance and adapt correction actions as needed.

• Managed GBA 32 branches warehouses, 90 employees, an average storage area of 84,000 M3, and an average stock value of EGP 80 M to ensure the reduction of stock, and carrying costs as well as to achieve the best customer experience.

• To manage and control the branch’s warehouse personnel to ensure an efficient and effective operation including relevant training and development using skills matrices.

• Managing potential suppliers, comparing and evaluating offers from suppliers Negotiating contracts and agreement terms and pricing.

• Selected and evaluated prospective vendors and negotiates contracts based on quality, timeliness, and price.

• Lead and set up replenishment plans for branches’ warehouses to assure a healthy stock in the branch’s warehouses with references to EOQ and ABC analysis techniques.

• Redesign and manage GBA logistics operations processes and structure, including rooting plan, maintenance, fuelling control, and GPS monitoring, to achieve beat resources utilization.

• Create and monitor the department’s annual OPEX & CAPEX budget, (EGP 40M).

• Managing & monitoring logistics operation cash expenditures cost of EGP 8M/yr.

Operation Manager

Avon Cosmetics - Egypt | Oct. 2010 –Oct.  2012

Key Achievements:

• Decrease operational complaints by 50%.

• Create and lead the initiative of reducing the cash collection cycle from 90 to 30 days in cooperation with the finance unit and business partners. 

• Coordinate with management to enhance the employees’ an experience of 4 % in 2 years.

• Design manual (procedures, processes, work instructions, and 

KPIs) for warehouse and distribution.
