One of our clients in Ireland
's construction industry is currently seeking
a Senior Planner.
Objective
• To assist in the production of Programmes for both Live and tendering projects.
• To ensure projects are running in accordance with construction programme and to flag any deviations to ensure early warning can be issued and mitigated.
Responsibilities
• This position is a key role and the incumbent is expected to work as a team member in achieving the outcomes of the organisation.
Pre-Construction & Live Projects
• Review all construction stage information and remain connected with information updates on the project.
• Production of resource and cost loaded construction programme in Asta Power Project or as per the project requirements. These programmes must be detailed and include the following
o All tasks must be logically linked
o All tasks must be resource loaded
o Critical Path must be identifiable
o Programme must contain
Client Milestones
Pre-Construction and Statutory requirements
Procurement
Detailed Construction Activities
Commissioning, Testing and Hanover
• Production of trade programmes
• Constant monitoring of actual progress on site and then comparing with baselines. Programme Audits will be required monthly on all live projects.
• Generating progress reports (Earned Value) in conjunction with the site team.
• Histo report and cash flows will also feed into progress monitoring KPI's
• Assisting in Production of Contractors Proposals/Methodologies, which need to satisfy all the tender requirements.
• Once a project is own a baseline programme will be set (Contract Programme)
• A target programme will be produced in agreement with the Contracts Manager.
• Programmes will be audited every month and a report will be issued to the Directors outlining the following
o Actual V's Baseline Contract
o Actual V's Target
o Programme Problems and actions being taken
o Programme Risks and Opportunities
• Develop an early warning system for programme slippage.
• Ensure that all contractual notices are issued to the Client regarding programme notifications. This must be done in conjunction with the Commercial Department
Miscellaneous
• Mentor and train less experienced planners
• Such other duties as may be assigned to you by the Company from time to time.

ISO & IT Requirements:
• Undergo Advance training in Asta Power Project
• Take part in training on how to use ProCore efficiently and also help to ensure its wide efficient use across the entire project team.
• CAD and or other software that allows you to produce methodology drawings.
• Take an active interest in BIM and endeavour to achieve Level 2 certification for yourself.
• Comply with Elliott's ISO QEHS Management System requirements i.e. perform your work according to your department process documents, procedures and maintaining document information/completing department forms/records as required.
• Understand and apply our QEHS policies in all aspects of your work.
• Contribute towards achieving Elliott company objectives and our department KPI's
• Ensure that the needs and requirements of Elliott's internal departments and customers are understood and delivered.
• Help develop and improve our internal processes and management system by reporting corrective actions, updates and improvement ideas.
