    Description

    Ophthalmologist Duties And Responsibilities

    • Providing vision testing, glasses, and contact lenses prescriptions
    • Performing corrective surgeries to repair injuries, corneas, and remove cataracts
    • Conducting advanced surgical procedures like keyhole or laser surgery
    • Diagnosing and treating eye diseases and injuries
    • Managing emergency, outpatient, and specialist eye clinics
    • Treating vision-affecting medical disorders through a holistic approach

    Requirements

    • A medical degree in ophthalmology
    • Completion of an internship and residency in the field
    • A valid state license for ophthalmology practice
    • Expertise in eye diseases, functions, and anatomy
    • Proficiency in physics, math, and medical practices
    • Strong administrative and managerial abilities
    • Excellent hand-eye coordination
    • Effective organizational, communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
