    Description:

    Jobpurpose:

    To ensure response to necessaryconstruction documentation including but not limited to review ofshop drawings RFIs and material submittals. Is to manage theefforts of the inspectors to ensure all documentation that isreviewed is than properly translated into a constructed productwhich meets requirements and specifications.

    Jobaccountabilities:

    • Monitoring thecivil works for conformance with the provisions of the contractdocuments and the procedures manual.
    • Reviewing approving and processing all civiltechnical submittals.
    • Answering RFIs related to civil works.
    • Coordinating and supervising thework of all civil activities and operations.
    • Reviewing contractors structural change orderproposals and preparing recommendations to InfrastructuralPM.
    • Liaison with thenecessary sub consultants.
    • Reviewing contractors claims related to civil works andpreparing recommendations for claims.
    • Reviewing the contractors project recorddocuments relevant to their discipline.
    • Managing the civil inspectors.
    • Calls for testing as requiredanalyzing laboratory and testing reports.
    • Assisting with the inspection of completedworks and monitoring the startup testing commissioning and handoverof the civil works.
    • Signing off on completed structural works with completeddocumentation.
    • Performall other duties given by Infrastructural PM.
    • Observes work in progress toensure that procedures are followed and materials used conform tospecifications.
    • Ensuresthat proper safety procedures are followed in cooperation with theHealth & Safety Engineer.
    • Demonstrates continuous effort to improve operationsdecrease turnaround times streamline work processes and workcooperatively and jointly to provide a quality seamlessservice.

    Qualifications:

    • Minimum Bachelors degree in relevant disciplines:Engineering or Construction.
    • (10) years experience with minimum of (5) years in theUAE.
    • Strong technicalbackground.
    • Excellentoral and written communication skills.
    • Excellent command of Microsoft Office businesssolution (Excel Word).
    • Ability to review and comment properly on necessarydocumentation.
    • Excellent understanding of specifications and Authorityrequirements.
    • Completeproject understanding in given discipline from start to handover.Methods and materials used for public works constructionprojects.
    • Engineeringterminology symbols field surveying methods andtechniques.
    • Principlesand practices of project management and supervision.
