Description

We are looking for a highly experienced Senior PostgreSQL Database Administrator (DBA)<\/b> to lead our database infrastructure efforts. You will be responsible for designing, implementing, and optimizing PostgreSQL databases for high availability, performance, and scalability. This includes managing replication, backup, disaster recovery, and supporting business intelligence tools like Tableau<\/b> and Power BI<\/b>. The role also involves collaborating with DevOps and development teams to enforce best practices, support data -driven applications, and contribute to strategic data architecture planning.

Requirements<\/h3>

·<\/span>  <\/span>Bachelor's
degree in Computer Science or a related field
<\/p>

·<\/span>  <\/span>5+ years of
hands -on DBA experience with PostgreSQL in production environments
<\/p>

·<\/span>  <\/span>Expertise in
PostgreSQL internals, performance tuning, and advanced features (partitioning,
indexing, etc.)
<\/p>

·<\/span>  <\/span>Experience
with MySQL and at least one NoSQL database (e.g., MongoDB, Redis)
<\/p>

·<\/span>  <\/span>Proficiency
in PL/pgSQL, writing complex queries, stored procedures, and functions
<\/p>

·<\/span>  <\/span>Familiarity
with replication tools (Patron, pgpool -II), backup solutions (pgBackRest,
Barman)
<\/p>

·<\/span>  <\/span>Experience
in PostgreSQL on cloud platforms (AWS RDS, Azure, GCP)
<\/p>

·<\/span>  <\/span>Strong
knowledge of database security, RBAC, and audit logging
<\/p>

·<\/span>  <\/span>Soft skills:
excellent problem -solving, leadership, cross -team communication, and project
management
<\/p>

·<\/span>  <\/span>Preferred:
PostgreSQL certifications, Agile experience, CI/CD pipeline integration, and
multi -tenant SaaS experience
