POSITION TITLE:
HOUSEKEEPING ATTENDANT - ROOMS


Summary Description:

Keep all areas clean, free of safety hazards and perform all duties in a safe an efficient manner.


A)
Responsibilities and Duties:


  • Reports daily to the Housekeeping Office in complete uniform, picks up clean clothes, assignment sheets and sign at Key Control Log Book. The reports to assigned area.
  • Loads (butler station) with cleaning equipment and fill the (linen bag) with sufficient clean linens needed to perform duties following prescribed procedures.
  • Cleans all guest rooms in the following order VIP rooms, special request room(s), one check out room and one occupied room.
  • Reports any discrepancies in room status to the Housekeeping Office and Butler accordingly.
  • Reports immediately all emergencies, i.e., overflowing toilets, malfunctioning air conditioning units, etc. to the Housekeeping Office and Butlers.
  • Reports to Housekeeping Supervisor furniture, fixtures or other items that need repair and maintenance.
  • Takes personal responsibility to change burnt out light bulbs, air conditioning filters, spent batteries in remote controllers, etc.
  • Reports to the Housekeeping Office any room that was not done and why.
  • Reports any illness, accidents befalling guests, irregularities to the Housekeeping Office and Butlers.
  • Brings immediately to the Housekeeping Office any item(s) left behind from checkout rooms, and follow the standard operating procedure.

Additonal duties and responsibilities:


  • Ensure integrity and confidentiality of information at all times.
  • To perform any additional requirement, tasks and duties outside of his/her scope of work as deemed necessary by your Immediate Manager or the Management.
  • Changes in business may require alterations to this Job Description.

Care of Equipment

  • Ensures maintenance and careful handling of equipment used.
  • Ensures timely reporting of malfunction or maintenance deficiency to appropriate area.

Training and Employee's Activities

  • Attends scheduled trainings.
  • Participates actively in company initiated employee activities.

Grooming and Hygiene

  • Adheres to the specified hygiene and personal appearance standards of the hotel and surrounding area.

Attendance

  • Adheres to the set procedures for attendance and timekeeping.

Company Policies and Procedures

  • Adheres to the provisions outlined in the Employee's Handbook, Disciplinary Code, and Rules & Regulations.

Environmental Awareness

  • Reduces waste of supplies and materials by reusing or selling.
  • Recycles, when possible.
  • Conserves water and energy by adhering to environmental / energy conservation checklist appropriate for the surrounding area.
  • Maintains clean surroundings.
  • Participates in activities concerning the protection of the environment.
