    Position Summary: UAE Nationals are encouraged to apply New York University Abu Dhabi (NYUAD)seeks to appoint a CommunityBased Learning Coordinator reporting toAssistant Director of Academic Program Global Education.
    TheCommunitybased Learning (CBL) Coordinator is responsible forsupporting faculty and students through the design andimplementation of communitybased learning engagements throughoutthe UAE and for the preparation documentation and analysis of datagenerated through these engagements.
    KeyResponsibilities:
    • Support over 70 faculty per academic year in designing organizingand implementing communitybased learning activities in theUAE
    • Organize logistics for facultyledcourserelated engagements in the community including preparationsfor speakers visits and activities both on and offcampus in the UAEand assist in finalizing the logistics for community engagementevents.
    • Maintain financial records on GoogleDrive
    • Build data management spreadsheets totrack team workflow and continuity
    • Manage thestudent assistantship position within the team including the LocalEducation Officers (LEOs): SA applications and onboarding taskassignment as delegated by CBL colleagues and followup on progressLEO selection training faculty introduction and datacollection
    • Prepare monthly reports bycollecting data and information needed from LEOs and CBL members tobe reviewed by the supervisor before sharing the report with theAssociate Vice Chancellor Global Education and Outreach and ViceProvost
    • Present information sessions tovisiting students predeparture orientation sessions to classesengaging in offcampus communitybased learning and serve as aspeaker to promote the work of the communitybased learning team onand offcampus
    • Supervise in field visitsinclass guest speakers and activities on and off campus asneeded
    • Seek and research prospectivecommunity engagement programs and events through various availableresources (i.e. newspapers magazines reliable websitesetc.)
    • Enroll in learning development coursesthat aid in personal and/or career growth as a CBLmember
    • Any additional tasks as assigned bythe supervisor
    Qualifications: Required Education:
    • Bachelors Degree
    Required Experience:
    • Minimum of 1 year of related experience in acrosscultural setting based in the UAE
    • Workexperience in a university setting or similar
    • Experience working with the Emirati and Arabicspeakingcommunity
    • Excellent interpersonal skills
    • Experience planning /implementing specialevents and activities
    • Excellent communitynetwork of contacts and/or proven ability to develop such anetwork
    • Excellent communication skills inEnglish and Arabic (both verbal and written) and the ability towork with people at all levels
    • Good workingknowledge of Google Suite Apps Microsoft and other databaseapplications
    • Working well both independentlyand in a group
    • Strong time managementskills
