Job Description:

Seeking a passionate and dedicated individual to join our team as an Assistant Animal Trainer in Abu Dhabi, UAE.

The Assistant Animal Trainer will work closely with our team of experienced animal trainers to support the care, training, and well-being of our animals.

Responsibilities:

Assist in the training and conditioning of animals for performances, shows, or educational programs.
Provide basic care and husbandry for animals, including feeding, grooming, and cleaning enclosures.
Assist with health checks and veterinary care under the supervision of senior staff.
Monitor animal behavior and report any changes or concerns to senior trainers.
Participate in enrichment activities to ensure the physical and mental wellbeing of the animals.
Assist with the development and implementation of training plans tailored to each animals needs and abilities.
Handle animals safely and confidently during training sessions and public interactions.
Maintain cleanliness and organization in animal facilities and work areas.
Educate visitors about animal behavior, conservation, and welfare.
Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations to ensure the wellbeing of both animals and humans.

Requirements:

Previous experience working with animals in a professional setting, such as a zoo, aquarium, or animal training facility.
Passion for animal welfare and conservation.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
Patience, empathy, and a calm demeanor when working with animals.
Physical fitness and ability to perform manual labor and work outdoors in various weather conditions.
Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, as needed.
Basic knowledge of animal behavior and training techniques preferred.
Must be legally eligible to work in Abu Dhabi, UAE.
