Specialised in the making of pastries, desserts, breads and other baked goods. Follows recipes and standards for all product preparations. Detailed-oriented and dedicated multitasker.Responsibilities
- Plan, implement and manage daily kitchen operations.
- Suggest and provide inputs to the Head Chef on new menu items and product lines.
- Prepare a wide variety of products such as cakes, pastry cookies, pies, breads and more within stipulated time frames.
- Work in close collaboration and coordination with the production team in the assigned branch.
- Monitor supplies and ingredients necessary for daily operations, and flag issues as appropriate.
- Constantly monitor quality of ingredients as well as production equipment/implements.
- Support the Head Chef in training, guiding and motivating the production team.
- Identify staffing needs to the Head Chef.
- Ensure that the production environment adheres to set health, safety and hygiene standards.
- Stay uptodate with the latest food and industry trends.
- Carry out adhoc, associated tasks as assigned by the Head Chef.
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years' experience as a Pastry Chef.
- Certificate in culinary arts or equivalent.
- Indepth knowledge of kitchen health and safety procedures.
- Demonstrated knowledge of baking within ingredient and cost limitations while maintaining exceptional standards and quality.
- Highly organised.
- Excellent time management skills.
- Attention to detail and perfection.
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
Salary:
AED4, AED5,000.00 per month
