The role of the Teaching Assistant is a vital one at BIS Abu Dhabi and is designed to support teachers in helping children to overcome barriers to learning.

TA's will normally work within the classroom and may work with individual children, small groups or the whole class.

They may also be called upon to support children who have learning or behavioural difficulties and those with English as an additional language.


  • Degree level education (desirable)
  • Background in teaching (desirable)
  • High level of international and intercultural understanding (essential)
  • High level of fluency in written and spoken English (essential)
