    • Maintain awareness/knowledge ofall applicable AML & CTF in the UAE and InternationalStandards.
    • Supporting anorganization's response to identified regulatory /financial crime breaches (including the remediation of sanctionsbreaches or instances of money laundering, bribery or or moregeneral misconduct).
    • Reviewing afirm's financial crime framework (or specific elementswithin it) to assess regulatorycompliance.
    • Internal systems reviews– combining review and industry insight to report onfinancial crime control design andeffectiveness.
    • Helping a firm to scope andcarry out remediation activities in relation to core financialcrime process (such as KYC, CDD/EDD, transaction monitoring andscreening).
    • Bringing leading international bestpractice and knowledge to local clients in the region, workingalongside Grant Thornton's global Financial Crimeteams.
    • Helping clients of all shapes and sizes,from FS and non-FS regulated sectors, as well as corporates,providing solutions such as Recommend & Review, ReasonableAssurance and Audit Opinion.
    • Managing seniorstakeholders as part of complex programmes of work and deliveringhigh quality outputs in an often fast-pacedenvironment.
    • Demonstrating agility andadaptability to work in line with changing client expectations andrequirements.
    • Focus on reviews driven byregulators in the context of Financial Crime Complianceprograms.

    What you'll bedoing:

    Clients

    • Build a trusted relationship withclient employees, manage client expectations, undertake anassignment manager role for small and medium sized assignments andmanage the day-to day aspects of these under Managersupervision.
    • Engender trust and respect fromthe client by managing assignments accurately, responding quicklyto demands and delivering to deadlines.
    • Deliverprojects with colleagues and clients, including day to dayownership of projects and client liaison and know when to escalateissues or areas of concern, as and when theyarise.
    • Display judgment and an understanding ofrelevant risks and issues arising in an assignment, offeringpotential solutions and seeking advice whennecessary.
    • Record Keeping- Maintain assignmentfiles and identify key issues early to discuss with the EngagementManager, keeping them informed ofprogress.
    • Taking responsibility for meetingtimelines & budgets and managing smallteams.
