Description
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Medical Insurance Coder to join our medical clinic in Dubai.

As a Medical Insurance Coder, you will play a vital role in ensuring accurate coding and billing for medical services, facilitating proper reimbursement from insurance companies.

Your expertise in medical coding, insurance policies, and documentation guidelines will contribute to the efficient functioning of our clinic and support quality patient care.


Responsibilities:


  • Review medical documentation, including diagnoses, procedures, and treatments, to accurately assign appropriate codes for billing purposes.
  • Ensure compliance with current coding guidelines, including ICD10CM, CPT, and HCPCS codes.
  • Thoroughly analyze medical reports, operative notes, and other relevant documentation to identify billable services and record them correctly.
  • Collaborate with medical professionals, including physicians and nurses, to clarify information and ensure accurate coding.
  • Stay uptodate with changes in coding guidelines, healthcare regulations, and insurance policies to ensure accurate and compliant coding practices.
  • Verify the completeness and accuracy of patient information in electronic health records (EHR) systems, addressing any discrepancies or incomplete documentation.
  • Communicate with insurance companies to resolve codingrelated matters and address any claim denials or inquiries.
  • Assist with coding audits and compliance assessments as required, ensuring adherence to medical coding guidelines and ethical standards.
  • Maintain confidentiality and security of patient information in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
  • Collaborate with colleagues in the billing department to ensure timely and accurate submission of claims to insurance companies.
  • Participate in training programs and professional development activities to enhance coding skills and stay abreast of industry advancements.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a Medical Insurance Coder, Medical Coder, or related role in a medical clinic or healthcare setting in the UAE.
  • Strong knowledge of ICD10CM, CPT, and HCPCS coding systems with the ability to assign accurate codes.
  • Familiarity with medical billing processes, insurance policies, and reimbursement procedures.
  • Proficient in using medical coding software and electronic health record (EHR) systems.
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to interpret complex medical information.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively clarify information and interact with healthcare professionals and insurance providers.
  • Ability to work independently, manage time efficiently, and meet deadlines in a fastpaced environment.
  • Understanding of patient confidentiality and compliance with HIPAA regulations.
  • Certification as a Certified Professional Coder (CPC) or an equivalent coding certification is highly preferred.
  • Bachelor's degree in Health Information Management or a related field is advantageous, but not mandatory.
