    Structural Engineer - O&M (Roads/Bridges)

    Al Dhafra Region, Abu Dhabi

    Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Structural Engineer specialist to join our team In this role you will ensurecomplianceofcivilworkstodesignrequirements,specificationsand project plan while making sure of implementing DRM's policies & regulations.

    What You'll Be Doing:​​

  • Ensuringcomplianceofcivilworkstodesignrequirements,specificationsand project plan while making sure of implementing DRM's policies & regulations.
  • Identifyingallnon-conformingworkormaterials,notifyingthecontractorand keeping a proper record.
  • Followingupcorrective and preventivemeasuretakenbythe contractor.
  • ·Inspectingtheworkperformedbythecontractor(s)toascertainthatworkis executed in accordance with the Contract Documents and accepted practices.
  • Overseeingprojectmanagement,liketrackingbudgetsandmaintainingadatabase of projects and their progress.
  • Reviewingshopdrawings andproviding feedbackto colleagues.
  • Performingfield visits andwritingreports detailingproject viabilityand progress.
  • Ensure structure can withstand the stress and pressure imposed by use and the environment.
  • Calculate stability, strength and rigidity and make sure the right materials are used for each project, whether it is a new-build, conversion or renovation.
  • Scheduling and coordination of project interactions among client, consultants, contractors, and local stakeholders.
  • Participate in negotiations with regulatory agencies and in public meetings in support of clients.
  • Promotes technical and commercial excellence on the project through application of Quality Assurance processes.
  • Monitors and reports to the project management on the progress of all project design and construction activity within the program, including significant milestones, and any conditions, which would affect project cost or schedule.
  • Participates in weekly progress meetings to review project status and formulate action items.
  • Performs other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate

    • What Required Skills You'll Bring:

  • Bachelor's Degree in civil engineering or equivalent
  • Minimumof12yearspracticalO&Mexperience with no less than an 8 years' experience in the infrastructure and roads works.
  • Experience of major bridges, underpasses, highways and parks projects of complex nature is essential.
  • Must have a sound knowledge about contractual relationships.
