    Description

    Thisrole is key to keeping our hotel operating at maximum capacity.This is a varied and interesting position where your skills as anelectrician plumber or paintermaintenance will be put to good useand you will continue to develop your skills in all kinds ofmaintenance areas. Working in a small but efficient team you willtake on daily tasks inside and outside hotel rooms guest and publicareas and even within the F&B environment. Your quick workwill ensure that everything operates as smoothly as itshould.

    • Attendto all Mechanical Electrical and Plumbing repairs maintenance ofthe hotel facilities including the physical building structurefixtures & fittings plant and related equipment inaccordance with energy conservation preventative and reactivemaintenance goodpractice.
    • Completeweekly maintenance schedule andwork
    • Carryout regular maintenance inspections of the building plant andequipment as per the dailychecklist.
    • Assistwith preventative maintenance of fire protection systems ensuringall items are inspected as per scheduled requirements and thatfirefighting and safety features of the building operate at peakefficiencyalways.
    • Assistwith repairs and Maintenance of the Staff Accommodation as when theneedarise.
    • Monitorthe inventory in the stores and ensure that there are adequatestocks ofmaterials
    • Keepan accurate and up to date record of stocks andequipment
    • Ensureand takes responsibility for the cleanliness and safety aspects ofequipment and tools in all hotel engineering related areasincluding plant and electrical distribution rooms andstorerooms.
    • Supportthe maintenance supervisor with the management of contractorsincluding delivery of materials and equipment and oversight ofmaintenance repairs asneeded
    • Buildgood relationships withcontractors.


    Requirements

    • Mechanicalelectrical and plumbingsystems.
    • Fireprotectionsystems
    • Healthand Safety regulations and goodpractice.
    • Workingknowledge of planned and reactive maintenanceprinciples.
    • ExcellentEnglish communicationskills.
    • Abilityto keep accurate records of maintenance activities and preparereports.
    • Basicknowledge of building and services maintenanceprinciples
    • Workingknowledge of planned and reactive maintenanceprinciples.

    Experience

    • 2years experience of General Maintenance experience preferablywithin a hotel/resortenvironment
    • Formaltrade qualifications in Mechanical /Electrical/Plumbing.
    • ComputerLiterate
