    Description
    • TechnicalLeadership:
    • Work with the CEO to build, leadand mentor a team of software developers, fostering a collaborativeand innovative work environment.
    • Drivetechnical decisions, architecture, and code quality to ensure theplatform's scalability, reliability, andsecurity.
    • Collaborate with product managers andstakeholders to define and prioritize features andimprovements.
    • Team Building andDevelopment:
    • Build and scale the developmentteam over a 2-3 year period, including recruitment, onboarding, andtalent development.
    • Foster a culture ofcontinuous learning and growth within theteam.
    • Define and implement developmentprocesses and best practices.
    • Full StackDevelopment:
    • Take ownership of the current mapbuild of our digital shipping trading platform, ensuring its timelyand successful completion.
    • Architect, design,and develop software solutions for both front-end and back-endcomponents.
    • Collaborate with cross-functionalteams to integrate new features and functionality into theplatform.
    • Sole Developer and InfrastructureOwnership:
    • Initially, you will be the soledeveloper in our new office location, taking full ownership of theentire product and infrastructure.
    • Manage andmaintain the entire technology stack, ensuring its performance,scalability, and security.
    • Collaborate withremote teams for support andcoordination.
    • Agile and IntenseEnvironment:
    • This role demands an intense workethic and the ability to thrive in an agile, fast-pacedenvironment.
    • You should be prepared to getscrappy and pivot quickly with limited margin for error to meettight deadlines.
    • Flexibility and adaptabilityare key qualities for success in thisrole.
    • TechnologyStack:
    • Work with a modern technology stack,including but not limited to JavaScript, PostgreSQL, React,, Python, Docker, and cloud-basedinfrastructure.
    • QualityAssurance:
    • Implement and oversee testingprocedures, code reviews, and continuous integration to maintainhigh-quality software.
    • Scalability andPerformance:
    • Optimize the platform forscalability, performance, and responsiveness, ensuring anexceptional userexperience.
    • Security:
    • Prioritizeand implement security best practices to protect sensitive data andmaintain regulatory compliance.

    Qualifications AndExperience

    • Master's degree in computerscience or a related field.
    • Proven experienceas a Full Stack Engineer with a strong track record of deliveringhigh-quality software solutions.
    • Previousexperience in financial or commodity trading environment– shipping and freight a bonus, but not anecessity
    • Previous experience in a leadershipor mentoring role within a software developmentteam.
    • Expertise in front-end and back-enddevelopment, including modern frameworks andtechnologies.
    • Familiarity with cloud computingplatforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GoogleCloud).
    • Strong problem-solving skills and theability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborativeenvironment.
    • Excellent communication skills andthe ability to convey complex technical concepts to non-technicalstakeholders.
