Key Responsibilities:

  • Review architectural and engineering drawings, specifications, and project documentation to understand the scope and requirements of fitout projects.
  • Conduct site visits and assessments to gather relevant information for estimating purposes.
  • Quantify and take off materials required for fitout projects, considering specifications, finishes, and quality standards.
  • Source and request quotations from suppliers and subcontractors for materials, equipment, and services.
  • Analyze and compare supplier/subcontractor quotations to select the most costeffective options.
  • Calculate labor costs based on project requirements, manpower needs, and productivity rates.
  • Prepare detailed cost estimates, including material quantities, labor hours, equipment usage, subcontractor costs, and any other relevant expenses.
  • Collaborate with the project team, including architects, engineers, and contractors, to ensure accurate and comprehensive estimates.
  • Provide value engineering suggestions to optimize costs without compromising quality and functionality.
  • Maintain a database of historical cost data, including materials, labor rates, and subcontractor pricing, for reference in future estimates.
  • Continuously monitor and track project costs and update estimates as necessary during the bidding and negotiation stages.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as an Estimator in fitout projects or a related field.
  • Strong knowledge of fitout construction materials, techniques, and finishes.
  • Familiarity with architectural and engineering drawings, specifications, and construction documentation.
  • Excellent mathematical and analytical skills to accurately quantify materials and calculate costs.
  • Proficiency in using estimating software and tools.
  • Strong negotiation and communication skills to interact with suppliers, subcontractors, and project stakeholders.
  • Attention to detail and ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines.
  • Good organizational and time management skills.
  • Knowledge of local construction regulations and codes is preferred.
  • Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field is advantageous.

Salary:
AED5, AED15,000.00 per month


Ability to commute/relocate:

  • Dubai: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (required)
