    Water Networks Job Description

    Key responsibilities and duties are listed, but not limited to, the below:

  • Prepare Layout including schematics, Concept, Preliminary, Detailed and Tender Design Stage -Network, Design of storm water, Potable water Irrigation & sewerage
  •  Prepare reports and design documentation for storm water and wastewater infrastructure projects.
  • Hydrological and Hydraulic Design of Surface drainage & Storm Water runoff. And Sub-Surface Drainage System.
  • Prepare hydraulic modelling for storm water and wastewater.
  • Prepare design using Civil 3D software for BIM environment.
  • Ensure quality and timely delivery of infrastructure projects to ICON clients.
  • Liaising/meeting with developers, clients or stakeholders to update on progress.
  • Provide any reports update to the projects design managers and project managers including clients when needed.
  • Coordinate aspects of projects submittal and deliverables, reviews and approvals against contract requirements. Report and advice on deviations from the same
  • Assist in providing design, reports, and liaison role for all disciplines/departments.
  • Assist the Manager/Senior Engineers or Designates in work coordination with other ICON teams.
  • Assist in providing marketing support to the team with current and future clients.
  • Seek the optimal solution from internal and external sources for any design-related issues.
  • Outline cost and quantity estimation for wet services.
  • Manages, reviews and approves Storm Water infrastructure design and construction; ensures all work is approved for compliance with all applicable codes, ordinances, and regulation.
  • Lead delivery of high quality projects, demonstrating continuous improvement, to the measurable satisfaction of clients.
  • Provide technical guidance and management to ensure that project outcomes meet the required technical: standards and project deliverables in accordance with agreed budgetary, programmed and delivery requirements.
  • Contribute to innovation and efficiency across the water team.
  • Assist in modifying drawings, preparing design and developing layout plans and profiles
  • Review of construction drawings
  • Support the design team with preparation of final plans using computer applications

    • Experience: 5-10 years of Design experience
