    Description
    • Participates in the strategicplanning and management of the laboratory network in closecollaboration with laboratory Director to ensure operationalexcellence in the provision of testingservices.
    • Implement laboratory strategic planacross all laboratories.
    • Aids in the creationof a prediction of future workload for the site and thedepartmental operations at the site that is comparativelyaccurate.
    • Review laboratories productivitiesand provide strategic plan for labs expansion anddecommissioning.
    • Work hand-to-hand withcommercial managers to review all machines and sent out contracts.And counsel, negotiate favorable terms, oversee, and manage allcontracts that the lab may engage.
    • Manage labrequirements such as defining the requirements and act as labapproval line.
    • Prepare and submit laboratorybudgets such as HR, CAPEX, ICT, quality and training. And also,oversees budgets, technological plans, and strategic operationalplans in line with the overall strategy for thelaboratory.
    • In each specialized area, maintainsin-depth knowledge of techniques, principles andInstrumentation.
    • This position is responsiblefor overseeing operations, costing, quality, performanceimprovements and other related activities of the NMC Grouplaboratories network in UAE, Oman andQatar.
    • Responsible for selection of competentlab personnel.
    • Oversee the development of theorganization's plans and programs in evaluation oflong-range planning and regulatory action on operationalperformance.
    • The position directs andcoordinates through subordinate supervisory personnel, alltechnical activities and functions within one of the majorlaboratory network.

    Quality & RiskManagement:

    • Ensure high level of performancethrough active quality control program at all testing area, andmonitor the quality control programs
    • Able toperform quality checks, testing and troubleshooting ofequipment
    • Participate in the initial andongoing validation of medical laboratory procedures andtechniques.
    • Prepare the section foraccreditation and inspection for example but not limiting thefollowing EIAC ISO15189, CAP, JCI, DOH andOSHAD.
    • Comply with EIAC and CAP accreditationsrequirements as per the standards of ISO 15189:2012 and perform theduties necessary to support and achieveaccreditation.
    • Maintain records and filesaccording to guidelines of regulatory agencies and accreditationorganization.
    • Monitor section KPI'sand provide report to VP Lab Services, Lab business heads andQuality team.
    • Review Proficiency TestingActivities. Collaborate with VP Lab Services, to develop andimplement process improvements.
    • Identify issuesand act to achieve optimal performance. Coordinate resolution ofquality issues in other parts of the organization that have a labcomponent.
    • Monitors laboratory supplies, ordersand receive supplies as in accordance with the established policies& procedures,
    • Perform requiredinstrument maintenance at the prescribed times and logappropriately.
    • Complies with biohazard safetystandard through proper handling of potential hazardous chemicaland biological agents in the work place.
    • Usesuniversal safety precautions to protect self and co-workers frombiohazardous material including but limited blood-bornepathogens
