    Description

    On behalf of our client one of the largestestate management firms in the UAE we are looking for a Head ofBuilding Consultancy to lead the Valuation & Advisorydivision.

    JobPurpose

    The role is to manage andoperate the Building Consultancy department. They are the focalpoint of contact for all client interaction and ensure allcontractual requirements and obligations are met. The Head ofDepartment will be required to build and develop effectiverelationships with respective

    Clients and overseethe delivery all ongoing and upcoming instruction for both ProjectManagement Consultancy and Building Surveying skilllines.

    The Head of shall setrealistic objectives which are aligned towards achieving thedepartment goals. They will be responsible for monitoring andmeasuring the progress of these department making adjustments whenor ifnecessary.

    TheHead of Building Consultancy shall be responsible for developing abusiness plan that identifies and addresses both immediate andfuture needs.

    RolesResponsibilitiesDuties:

    Leadership& Management

    oProvide strategic direction and leadership to the buildingconsultancy team.

    o Manage and mentor a team ofbuilding surveyors ensuring their professionaldevelopment.

    o Coordinate and allocate resourcesto projects effectively.

    o Foster a positive andcollaborative workenvironment.

    ProjectManagement

    o Oversee and managemultiple building consultancy projectsconcurrently.

    o Develop project plans timelinesand budgets in consultation with clients andstakeholders.

    o Monitor project progress identifypotential risks and implement appropriate mitigationmeasures.

    o Ensure projects aredelivered within agreedupon timeframes andbudgets.

    ClientManagement

    o Develop and maintainstrong relationships with clients understanding their needs andobjectives.

    o Act as the main point of contactfor key client accounts ensuring excellent clientsatisfaction.

    o Provide expert advice andguidance to clients on building surveyingmatters.

    o Identify opportunities for businessdevelopment and foster new clientrelationships.

    TechnicalExpertise

    o Conduct detailedbuilding surveys inspections and conditionassessments.

    o Prepare and deliver comprehensivereports on building defects maintenance and renovationrequirements.

    o Provide expert advice on buildingregulations compliance and statutoryrequirements.

    o Advise clients on building designspecifications and constructionmethods.

    Compliance andRegulations

    o Stay updated withcurrent building regulations legislation and industry bestpractices.

    o Ensure projects adhere to relevanthealth and safety regulations and standards.

    oIdentify potential legal and compliance risks and provideappropriate recommendations.

    o Liaise withregulatory authorities and stakeholders to ensurecompliance.

    BusinessDevelopment

    o Identify and pursuebusiness development opportunities to expand the clientbase.

    o Participate in networking events industryconferences and professional organizations.

    oCollaborate with the marketing team to develop marketing strategiesand promotional materials.

    o Stay abreast ofmarket trends and competitors to inform businessstrategies.

    QualityAssurance

    o Ensure that allbuilding surveying services meet highquality standards and clientexpectations.

    o Implement and maintain qualityassurance processes and procedures.

    o Conductregular reviews and audits to assess the performance andeffectiveness of the team.

    o Continuously seekopportunities for process improvement and operationalefficiency.

    Qualification:

    • BScBEng or equivalent degree (ideally in a Real EstateEngineering orConstruction field)
    • Chartered Building Surveyor(MRICS)
    • Additional Post Graduate qualificationsPGDip MSc MBA(desirable)

    Experienceand Skills:

    • A minimumof 10 years of experience in Building Surveying and projectmanagement in a real estaterelated field;
    • Aminimum of five years in the UAE orGCC.
    • Experience with managing a diverse team ofengineers and
    • surveyors across multipleprojects and Clients.
    • Experience in riskmanagement continual improvementand
    • performancemanagement
    • Experience of working at a SeniorManagement level with businessaccountability
