    Description

    PositionResponsibilities

    • Negotiate and draft high volumes ofcommercial, technology, and other legal documentation, on bothBoeing and supplier forms, including services agreements, purchaseagreements, confidentiality agreements, statements of work (serviceorder/purchase order), amendments, and related commercialdocuments, across a wide variety of jurisdictions, and work withinternal stakeholders to efficiently process those agreements andrelated documents consistent with Boeing Policies andProcedures.
    • Communicate understandablestrategic advice and guidance to internal Boeing procurement teamsand business clients of all levels regarding business and legalissues and risks.
    • When escalating contractualissues or risks to Attorneys, provide suitable background on thetransaction, concise summaries of the issues and risks, andsuggested mitigation strategies.
    • Draft letters,memoranda and other written communications while maintaining andprotecting confidentiality, privilege, sensitivity, and/or securityof all oral and written communications (and apply legends and useencryption for that purpose when needed).
    • Ableto both work independently to resolve problems and confer withAttorneys on final solutions or next-stepprocesses.
    • Administer and maintain LawDepartment projects, processes, policies, procedures, andpractices.
    • A cooperative, positive,team-oriented attitude is necessary, including the ability tocommunicate with military and international internal clients andcounterparties.
    • The position will require someresponsibilities for team or department-oriented tasks, projects,and activities, including developing and delivering, withassistance of Attorneys, legal-training programs and materials tovarious internal client groups.
    • The positionmay on occasion require research of law, cases, and proceduresutilizing specialized software (e.g.,Lexis/Nexis, CourtLink,WestLaw, Pacer), the Internet, and other applications; analyzingthe results of research, and drafting legal memoranda assessing,among other things, the merits and respective risks andopportunities with different approaches for Attorneyreview.
    • Occasional domestic travel may berequired.

    Basic Qualifications(Required Skills/Experience)

    3+years of experience, either in-house, with a law firm, or acombination, supporting commercialcontracting.

    PreferredQualifications (DesiredSkills/Experience)

    5+years' experience, including some in-house with a largecorporation, supporting commercial contracting covering procurementand a wide variety of commercial contracts, with both domestic andinternational counterparties.
