Job Purpose

We are looking to hire Senior Engineer Naval Architecture,

This job role is to ensure To lead the Naval Architecture & Painting discipline in Naval Architecture division and manage day to day activities of the overall detail/production drawings in Ship Building.

Key Accountabilities & Working Relationships

Key Accountabilities:

The Senior Engineer Naval Architecture who will be responsible for but not limited to:

• Review of light ship calculations, weight and CoG and lifting studies.
• Review of painting specification and painting drawing.
• Material engineering which includes preparation of purchase specifications, purchase requisitions, technical bid analysis, Supplier document / drawing evaluation after order.
• Construction engineering activities including MTO's, shop drawings and job package preparation and issue.
• Co-ordination with Internal Departments, Customer &Inspection Agencies.
• Ensure that designs comply with the relevant codes, standards, regulations, and procedures.
• Progress monitoring and adherence to scheduled completion of engineering documents.
• Monitor budget compliance of design deliverable production.
• Activity planning, work assignment, work scheduling and monitoring. Inter disciplinary checks &co-ordination.
• Identify the design improvements and lessons learned.
• Ensure Compliance with all applicable information security policies & procedures.
• Ensure quality and accuracy of the engineering deliverables for the discipline and compliance with Health, Safety & Environmental (HSE) responsibilities.

• Suppliers, Subcontractors, consultants, inspection agencies.
  
  

Who we are looking for

Education:

• Bachelor's degree in Naval Architecture Engineering.
  
  

Experience:

• 9-15+ years in engineering department of any ship building industry.
  
  

Professional Qualifications (Certifications & Accreditations):

• Preferred – Any additional certification / courses in Naval Architecture engineering.
  
  

Competencies (Knowledge, Skills & Abilities):

• Sound knowledge of international codes & standards, IMO regulations and class rules.
• Design experience in naval architectural calculations used in marine industry.
• Exposure to AutoCAD & 3D design tools like AVEVA.
• Exposure in naval architecture software such as NAPA, MOSES etc.
• Demonstrated high order interpersonal skills and the ability to operate within a multinational environment.
• Demonstrated ability to influence and motivate others with regards to continuous improvement.
• Good communication and presentation skills.
