    Description
    • Quality andAccuracy
    • Actively participates in thedepartmental Quality ImprovementProgram
    • Actively participates in departmentalmotivational program to enhance patient / customerrelations.
    • Reviews physician's ordersand prescriptions to ensure appropriateness of drugtherapy.
    • Inputs physician'smedication orders into Pharmacy Patient Medication Profile andmaintains this profile and relatedrecords.
    • Monitors patient medication profile inorder to prevent drug interactions, allergic and adverse drugreactions.
    • Provides drug information andcommunicates with prescribers, nurses and other staff regardingdrug therapy or safe drug handling.
    • SupervisesOP pharmacists, Senior Technician I's Pharmacy TechnicianII's and other support staff in the performance ofassigned duties.
    • Provides leadership qualitiesand proper scheduling, and dailystaffing
    • Maintains high level of extemporaneouscompounding utilizing up to date references andprocedures.
    • Clarifies any physician'smedication order with the physician and transcribesphysician's telephoned orders onto physician'sorder sheet for Counter-signing by thephysician.
    • Conducts quality improvement tasksin conjunction with other staffmembers.

    • Maintains adequate stock levels ofcontrolled medications
    • Maintains proper recordsof all scheduled medications as perMOH
    • Controlled drug records are kept up to datefor MOH inspections
    • Follow the MOH rules andregulations to keep the American hospital Dubai maintain the beststandard of care
    • Performs patient teachingfunctions on appropriate use ofmedications.
    • Monitors and oversees that thePharmacy is kept in a neat, clean and orderlyfashion
    • Performs quality control checks andproper inventory and expiry control of OP pharmacy stock and OPclinics floor stocks in accordance with departmentalprocedures
    • Prepares and supervises thepreparation of extemporaneously compounded medications, includingproducts requiring aseptic techniques.
    • Conductsorientation, training, and educational programs to new OPstaff
    • Gathers and analyses data for selecteddrug utilization reviews.
    • Performs all dutiesin a professional, effective and confidentialmanner.
    • Performs all other duties as requiredorassigned.

    QUALIFICATIONS

    • Baccalaureatedegree in pharmacy or equivalent
    • Currentlicense or registration to practicepharmacy
    • Current D.O.H. and M.O.H. DubaiPharmacist Licensure
    • NOC from the currentemployer
