    Engine is Starling's SaaS business, built to power Starling Bank, and two years ago we split out as a separate business.

    Starling Bank has seen exceptional growth and success in the UK, largely thanks to our modern technology.

    This SaaS platform is now available to banks and financial institutions worldwide, enabling them to benefit from innovative digital features and efficient back‑office processes.

    About the role

    We are seeking a Client Solutions Lead within the Client Solutions Division to be part of the core Engine team working to establish, grow and scale our Middle Eastern business and ensure the successful implementation of the Engine Platform for our clients in the region.

    This role will be based in Dubai but may include travel.
    Responsibilities

    Support early stage conversations, lead client workshops and demos, helping to identify and qualify genuine opportunities and contribute to marketing activities and conferences in the region.

    Drive strategic client opportunities, including commercial and contractual conversations, preparing for pitches, and other marketing activities such as events and thought leadership.

    Foster and maintain strong relationships with our implementation partners, driving collaborative business development activities and go‑to‑market strategies.
    Use your understanding of the Engine product and domain knowledge to present clear and compelling solutions to clients.

    Lead the discovery and implementation phases in collaboration with Product and Engineering teams to agree on product and platform requirements.

    Support clients and drive successful Engine implementation programmes using programme management and product knowledge, including supporting the transition from delivery (design, iterative build, testing) to go‑live.

    Qualifications
    7+ years of experience in client‑centric roles in banking, consulting, or technology.
    Strong background in financial services, preferably within the Middle East region.
    Deep experience supporting the delivery of large‑scale, complex programmes.
    Experience creating business, such as selling to large organisations.
    Rapidly understand client problems and present structured solutions.
    Self‑motivated and able to work in a highly autonomous environment.
    Comfortable presenting to C‑suite stakeholders, leading workshops, and discovery sessions.
    Adaptable communication style for different stakeholders (senior clients, consulting organisations, engineering functions).
    Flexible approach to delivery and comfortable with Agile ways of working.

    Structured approach to complex or ambiguous problems, managing a team to drive outcomes.
    Technical aptitude and curiosity.
    Self‑motivated and able to work in a highly autonomous environment.

    Flexible delivery approach, comfortable with Agile methods.
    Interview Process

    Interviewing is a two‑way process and we want you to have the time and opportunity to get to know us, as much as we are getting to know you Our interviews are conversational.


    In general you can expect the following:
    Initial video interview with someone from the BD or Client team – 45 mins.
    More in‑depth interview with some more from the BD and/or Client team – 60 mins.
    Final interview with CDO / CCO ~45 minutes.
