Job Purpose

We are looking to hire Division Head, CAD,

This job role is to ensure lead the CAD division of Eng. Support department. Ensure that CAD activities are completed accurately as per project schedules.

Key Accountabilities & Working Relationships

Key Accountabilities:

The Division Head, CAD who will be responsible for but not limited to:

• Selection and deployment of engineering software tools for successful project and ensure its effective and efficient utilization.
• Preparation of engineering software and hardware lists and comparison tables.
• Manage the resources of the CAD division as per project requirements.
• Preparation of CAD and other software strategies for the Engineering department.
• Responsible for ERP and CAD system interfaces.
• Establish training plan and ensure CAD and software training is conducted for Engineering department.
• Manage the CAD library, CAD Catalogues & Specifications.
• Manage the development of process maps, rules, procedures, practices, guidelines for the CAD division.
• Ensure quality and accuracy of the CAD design drawings/formats for all disciplines.
• Ensure all soft files are systematically stored and backed up in drives as per the IT department's policies and procedures.
• Establish and ensure the use of engineering standard drawings.
• Support in Bids &Estimation.
• Contribute to the professional development of employees by providing training and mentoring.
• Ensure compliance with HSE policies and procedures as applicable.
• Ensure compliance with all applicable information security policies & procedures

Internal Interactions:

• Internal Engineering Department, other business work-streams within the company, Project Engineering Manager, GM Engineering, VP Engineering.
  
  

External Interactions:

• IT, Software Suppliers, Subcontractors, Consultants, Inspection Agencies.
  
  

Who we are looking for

Education:

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent.
  
  

Experience:

• At least 9-15 years in any engineering company in leading CAD teams for newbuild marine/offshore or similar projects. Preference will be given for those had worked in ship and rig building yard, major construction yard, EPC contractor and/or Consultant Company using AVEVA 3D modelling software.
  
  

Professional Qualifications (Certifications & Accreditations):

• Preferred – Any additional certification / training on 3D CAD tools and system administration.
  
  

Competencies (Knowledge, Skills & Abilities):

• Extensive knowledge in multi discipline design and drafting (CAD) activities for rig building/ shipbuilding/ offshore / onshore projects.
• Proficient in 2D & 3D CAD software systems such as AutoCAD, AVEVA E3D, AVEVA Marine.
• Proven experience in leading CAD teams.
• Ability to check and identify discrepancies.
• Knowledge in ERP and its interfacing with CAD systems.
• Excellent communications skills: interpersonal, listening, oral, and written.
• Demonstrated high order interpersonal skills and the ability to operate within a multinational environment.
• Demonstrated ability to influence and motivate others with regards to continuous improvement.
