Stantec is lookingto hire a Mechanical Inspector to ensure compliance of mechanicalworks to design requirements specifications and projectplan.

Inspecting site conditions prior to startof construction activities. Verifying the compatibility of the sitewith the designed permanent works. Checking for obstructions.Photograph and document the condition of existing property thatmight be damaged by the work. Making sure all existing structuresproperty utilities and landscaping are properlyprotected.

Reviewing materials delivered to sitefor conformance with approved samples materials and equipment andreport findings.

Checking that materialsdelivered to site are properly stored and reportdiscrepancies.

Inspecting the construction oftemporary and permanent works to ensure compliance with theContract Documents and approved shop drawings andsubmittals.

Preparing daily logs and reports.Maintain records of inspections made tests performed work executedetc. Performing all work in accordance with the ContractAdministration Procedures Manual.

Observing sitesafety practices and the progress of the work. Reporting anyconcerns.

Assisting with the inspection ofcompleted works. Helping prepare punch lists. Monitoring thestartup testing commissioning and handover of the works.

Perform all other duties given by directmanager.

EXPERIENCE

Five 5 years experience in asimilar or equivalent position and job description.

QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelors degree inrelevant disciplines: Mechanical Engineering.

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS

Excellent oral andwritten communication skills.

Knowledge ofbuilding construction materials systems and trade practices isrequired.

Computer proficiency.

INDIVIDUAL BEHAVIOURAL COMPETENCIES

Ability to work independently and under changingenvironments.

Ability to multi task prioritizeplan and achieve project tasks.

Ability to workwith contractors at site and any other necessary parties.
