Job Description for the Position of Warehouse Supervisor

  • Support in upgrading of warehouse processes /policies and procedures as per international best practices
  • Coordinating with Procurement department for identifying and entering new suppliers and supplies in the system
  • Planning shipment and reviewing schedules for timely deliveries
  • Analysing shipment logs and keeping a track of inventory levels
  • Keeping a track of the organised shipment and maintaining storage area for safe storage of existing and incoming inventories
  • Coordinating with other teams like delivery teams, workshop technicians, other branches and staff on inventory delivery matters
  • Coordination with Retail and Delivery Teams for transfer of inventories to/from branches
  • Ensure recording of shipment and inventory transactions correctly and timely basis.
  • Maintain inventory records and provide necessary information to Accounts and Finance and other teams on inventory status
  • Maintaining records of economical order quantities, safety stock and reorder levels. Optimise employers productivity by focusing on defined JDs and support in determining proper staffing levels, strength and workload.
  • Continuous liaison with retail and delivery teams for inventory required at branches
  • Safe handling and storage of inventory in Warehouses and keeping track and movement of inventory for its usage on FIFO basis and other best practices to ignore over aged inventory
  • Physical verification of inventory with regular/predefined intervals
  • Measure and report effectiveness of warehouse activities and employee performance.
  • Identify areas of improvement and suggest innovative procedures and practices.

Requirements:


  • Graduate Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management or related fields
  • 5 years of experience as a Warehouse Supervisor / Officer
  • Strong Knowledge of warehousing automated tools / software
  • Fast /efficient and adaptive
  • Excellent communication and inter personal skills
  • Ability to direct and coordinate operations
  • Strong organisational and time management skills

Job Types:
Full-time, Contract

Contract length: 24 months

  • Dubai: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (required)
