Job description
We have an urgent requirement for Digital Asset Custody Cryptography Technical Analyst (HSM/MPC) is required for our banking client in Abu Dhabi, UAE7–12 years total experience, 3–6 years in digital asset custody, production HSM/MPC exposure, and regulator-facing governance ownership.
Strong experience asymmetric cryptography (ECDSA/EdDSA/RSA) Must
Strong experience on crypto exchange, custodian, or regulated fintech MUST
Strong experience on Implementing HSM or MPC custody is THE MUST
Strong experience on HSM / MPC Production Ownership is THE MUST
Strong experience on Supported audits (SOC 2 / ISO 27001 / financial regulators) Must
Strong experience on Key derivation (HD wallets, BIP32/39/44) is MUST
Own and govern private key security, signing controls, and the end-to-end cryptographic key lifecycle for the Digital Asset Custody platform.
This role ensures institutional-grade cryptographic controls aligned with regulatory, audit, and security requirements while embedding security-by-design principles across custody operations.
Define and maintain key generation, storage, rotation, backup, archival, and recovery procedures
Design and enforce key lifecycle governance aligned with institutional custody standards
Configure and manage MPC and/or HSM quorum rules, approval workflows, and segregation of duties
Implement and enforce signing controls across digital asset custody transaction flows
Manage access control policies for cryptographic operations
Ensure secure transaction authorization and policy-based signing workflows
Support internal and external security audits, penetration tests, and regulatory reviews
Participate in incident response activities involving key compromise, signing failures, or control breakdowns
Maintain detailed audit trails and cryptographic event logging
Embed cryptographic controls into platform architecture through security-by-design principles
Collaborate with security, compliance, engineering, and product teams in a regulated environment
MANDATORY Skills & ExperienceSkills:

Cryptography & Key Management (Non-Negotiable)
Hands-on experience in institutional digital asset custody key management
Strong understanding of:
Public/private key cryptography
Blockchain transaction signing models
Multi-signature and threshold schemes
Key derivation and deterministic wallets
Proven experience in end-to-end key lifecycle governance:
Key generation
Secure storage
Rotation & revocation
Backup & disaster recovery
Secure destruction
HSM / MPC Architecture (Mandatory)
Hands-on experience with:
CloudHSM and/or on-premise HSM solutions
MPC (Multi-Party Computation) custody frameworks
Experience designing or managing:
Quorum approval policies
Threshold signing models
Segregation of duties controls
Secure key ceremonies
Digital Asset Custody / Blockchain (Mandatory)
Practical experience in blockchain-based signing workflows
Understanding of transaction validation and authorization controls
Exposure to custody governance engines such as Ripple custody frameworks or equivalent
Familiarity with wallet infrastructure security models
Regulatory & Audit Exposure (Mandatory)
Experience working in regulated financial environments
Strong exposure to:
Internal & external security audits
Regulatory inspections
Control testing & evidence preparation
Understanding of:
Financial services security requirements
Operational risk management
Segregation of duties in high-value transaction systems
Security & Governance (Mandatory)
Strong security-by-design mindset
Experience embedding cryptographic controls into enterprise platforms
Familiarity with:
Access control models (RBAC / ABAC)
Privileged access governance
Secure logging & audit trails
Incident response related to cryptographic compromise
