Job Description:

Responsibilities:

Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive safety policies, procedures, and programs to ensure a safe working environment for all employees.
Conduct regular safety inspections and audits of facilities, equipment, and processes to identify and mitigate potential hazards.
Provide guidance and support to departmental managers and supervisors on safety-related matters, including risk assessment and hazard control measures.
Deliver effective safety training programs to employees at all levels, covering topics such as workplace ergonomics, chemical safety, emergency response procedures, and personal protective equipment (PPE) usage.
Monitor and enforce compliance with local, state, and federal safety regulations, as well as industry standards and best practices.
Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses to determine root causes and develop corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of safety inspections, training sessions, incidents, and other relevant safety-related data.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to promote a culture of safety, health, and environmental stewardship throughout the organization.
Stay informed about emerging trends, technologies, and regulations in the field of occupational health and safety, and recommend appropriate measures to address changing needs and requirements.
Serve as a liaison with regulatory agencies, insurance providers, and other external stakeholders on safety-related matters as needed.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in occupational health and safety, environmental science, industrial hygiene, or a related field.
Certified Safety Professional (CSP), Occupational Health and Safety Technologist (OHST), or similar professional certification preferred.
