    Requirements


    Fastpaced, multi-tasking job requiring versatility, attention todetail, impeccable time management, and outstanding communicationskills. The technician is primarily responsible for maintainingexcellence in patient care and assisting the veterinarian.Technicians also play a vital role in client communication.Technicians work in all areas of the hospital to provide the bestpossible care for patients.     • CertifiedVeterinary Technicians (CVT)orLVT/RVTs looking to become aCVT
    • Knowledgeof and ability to obtain vitals for Small Animals, Avian, andExotics
    • PatientRecord Keeping (Treatment Sheet and ComputerRecord)
    • Restraintof patients Using Low-StressTechniques
    • BasicKnowledge of CommonDiseases
    • Knowledge of Commonly UsedMedications (Routes of Administration, +/- Filter,Dilution)
    • Proficientin Basic Medical Math (lbs to kgs, dose to ml administered,etc)

    • Abilityto read doctors orders and perform treatmentsaccordingly

    JobEnvironment
    Fastpaced, multi-task, must be able to lift up to 45 lbs solo and 150lbs with some assistance, standing for prolonged periods of time,tolerate sickness/death, exposure to potentially zoonotic diseasesand occupationalradiation.
