Job Summary:
Key Responsibilities:
- Create and prepare a variety of desserts, pastries, and breads
- Develop and test new recipes
- Ensure all products are of high quality and visually appealing
- Decorate pastries using different icings, toppings, and sauces
- Order ingredients and supplies as needed
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the pastry kitchen
- Train and supervise junior pastry chefs and kitchen staff
- Monitor inventory and report any discrepancies
- Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a pastry chef or similar role
- Excellent knowledge of baking techniques and pastry ingredients
- Ability to create and execute a variety of dessert and pastry recipes
- Strong communication and leadership skills
- Ability to work in a fastpaced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- Ability to stand for extended periods of time and lift heavy objects
- Flexibility to work early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays as required
- Culinary degree or equivalent certification preferred
Ability to commute/relocate:
- Dubai: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (required)
Experience:
- Pastry Chef in UAE (Italian Preferred): 3 years (required)
