Summary:

Our client a well established dynamic Government entity is looking for a Marketing and Business Development manager. This person will be responsible for overseeing the marketing, communications, business development and fundraising efforts.


Role:

  • Develop and implement comprehensive marketing and communications plans that support the mission and strategic objectives
  • Work closely with the Executive Manager for Marketing and Communications and the senior management team to identify target audiences and develop strategies
  • Collaborate with external partners, agencies and suppliers, including graphic designers, social media agency, videographers, and public relations firms, to develop and implement
marketing and communications campaigns

  • Prepare and monitor the marketing budget quarterly and annually and allocate funds
  • Develop and implement business strategies that maintain existing sponsorship and increase the potential for new sponsorship
  • Oversee all sponsors & partnership development functions and resources, ensuring that all functions are executed efficiently, accurately and in a timely manner
  • Manage and mentor a team of marketing, communications and business development professionals, providing guidance and support as needed
  • Update senior management on the progress and status of sponsorships and coordinate
closely with the financial committee

  • Work in cohesion with relevant Senior Managers to ensure that sponsorship and marketing efforts are integrated across all events and programmes
  • Maintain sponsor database and ensure that all sponsors and other partners (marketing and organizational partners) are tracked and recognized appropriately

Requirements:


  • Bachelor's or master's degree in marketing, communications, or a related field
  • At least five years of experience in marketing, communications, and business development, of which at least 2 years in a leading role, preferably in a theatre or performing arts setting
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to write clear and compelling copy for various digital and print channels
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines
  • Intensive exposure to cultural arts/art exhibitions/museums/arts festival and experience in event planning and project management
  • Experience managing and mentoring a team of marketing, communications, and business development professionals
  • Fluency in English is a must and knowledge of another language would be a plus
