Must have a minimum 7years UAE experience in Estimation within a Interior Decoration, Fitout and joinery company.

Qualifications

  • Extensive knowledge of Joinery production and installation and Interior Decoration, fitout & joinery procedure and process.
  • Strong market knowledge of materials, suppliers and subcontractors.
  • Proven experience in estimation of high end meduim to large prestigous Interior decoration, fitout and joinery projects.
  • Able to work under pressure, aware of industry prices.
  • In depth knowledge of research and data analysis methods and estimation formulas.
  • Profiency in written and spoken english.
  • Good negotiation skills and problem solving

Responsibilities

  • Providing detailed and budget estimate preparation/ quotes for Joinery, Interior Fitout, Loose Furniture's and Upholstery works to submit to clients.
  • Preparing of detailed BOQ, rate analysis based on design, drawing.
  • Interpreting and checking drawings, tender documents, quantities, and estimates.
  • Ability to manage a full tender process and identify the qualified suppliers and subcontractor to get the quotes for pricing.
  • To prepare Contract agreement base on the approved quotation.
  • Identify labour, material, and time requirements by studying proposals, blueprints, specifications, and related documents.

Evaluate / Coordinate with the project team and finance department on project scheduling, project accomplishment, invoicing, and receivables in accordance with set turnover targets.


  • Identify suitable vendors and float enquiries, prepare prequalified vendor database in consultation with the project team, participate in vendor selection meetings and confirm considerations with the procurement & project team.
  • Assist with procurement of all required materials and subcontractors.
  • Act as a connection between subcontractors, design team, Operations, Project Team and client.
  • Evaluate progress billing of subcontractors and prepare Monthly Valuations.
  • Monitor progress of work and evaluation of work accomplishments & prepare and submit claims for payment. Valuation and invoice submission based on contract terms.
  • Assisting the Project team in any activity required as and when it arises.
  • Follow up on quotes sent in a bid to close deals.
  • Interpreting specifications, price tenders, and preparation of contract documents.
  • Maintaining supplier / subcontractor database and consistently seek new companies to pre
- qualify for inclusion on tender list.

  • Should be able to handle both pre and post contract work, review the scope of works along with contract terms and conditions, and to prepare bill of materials/quantity take off/variations/invoicing, cost management etc.
  • Conduct research to obtain data on labor costs, materials, production times etc.
  • Use software for data analysis, forecasting and budgeting.
  • Obtain and review offers and quotes by subcontractors or vendors
  • Perform risk analysis
  • Create and submit estimate reports or bids to appropriate persons (project managers, clients, bidding competitions etc.)
  • Build relationships with key vendors (subcontractors, suppliers, engineers etc.
  • Provide consultation on planning (schedules, manpower needs etc.)
  • Providing cost and material estimates, draw up projected budgets, and work alongside a team, noting any design changes and their effect on cost.
