About the Role
The Senior Visual Merchandiser will be responsible for the stock and decor display within the store. The jobholder will be required to deliver an inspirational shopping experience for customers across Watsons stores in GCC.

The jobholder should be commercially focused, with a proactive awareness of the beauty market in particular and hold the ability to work with urgency and pace.


Key Role Specific Accountabilities

Display and Visual Standards

  • Develop, deliver and communicate visual concepts to represent Watsons' visual standards.
  • Make sure new deliveries are displayed and presented on the floor in a creative and timely manner.
  • Create merchandise floor layouts and do floor moves and brand rotation periodically.

Commerciality

  • Ability to forward plan for key events and promotions throughout the year and deliver to meet tight deadlines.
  • Takes ownership and shows commercial initiative to use promotional hotspot areas to drive sales.
  • Develop and create concept and ideas of windows, pop ups and podiums stand, exhibitions panels and other events, pointofsale displays.
  • Available to work flexibly, which will include early mornings and overnight shifts

Visual Merchandising Tools

  • Ability to use computeraided design (CAD) packages, such as AutoCAD, Mockshop or Adobe Creative Suite, to create visuals and plans
  • Keep and maintain inventory list used for Visual Merchandising

Communication

  • Communicate effectively with the store team and line manager.
  • Keep and maintain a photo collection used for best practices and referral to previous campaigns.

About You

Education:

Bachelor degree / Formal Education in Fine Arts/Graphic Design with Visual Merchandising Background


Minimum Experience and Knowledge:


  • 3 years retail experience, preferably in Fashion/Beauty

Job-Specific/Technical Skills required to complete the tasks:

Good English communication skills, basic decision making, excellent customer service skills, positive attitude, physically fit, fast learner and a team player.
