Responsibilities

Our newest opportunity is for a talented Mechanical Engineer to join our team based in Abu Dhabi.

The Mechanical Engineer will be responsible for providing on-site supervision and technical support for all Mechanical engineering aspects of the project.

This includes ensuring compliance with all relevant codes, standards, and contract specifications.

We envisage success in this role to include;

Monitor, inspect, and supervise all mechanical works including HVAC, plumbing, drainage, firefighting, and mechanical equipment installations.
Review contractors' shop drawings, material submittals, method statements, and technical proposals, ensuring compliance with project specifications and applicable codes.
Conduct routine site inspections and issue NCRs/SORs when required to maintain quality standards.
Ensure that installations conform to approved IFC drawings and project requirements.
Coordinate with the contractor, client representatives, and other engineering disciplines to resolve site-related technical issues.
Participate in progress meetings, technical meetings, and coordination workshops.
Provide timely input and recommendations to support smooth site operations.
Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly reports on mechanical works progress and quality issues.
Verify and validate quantities for mechanical works to support payment certificates.
Maintain proper documentation of site inspections, test results, RFIs, and correspondence.
Supervise and witness testing, commissioning, and balancing of HVAC, plumbing, firefighting, and other mechanical systems.
Ensure all systems meet the project's performance requirements and UAE authority standards.

Qualifications

To be successful in this dynamic opportunity, we envision that your career journey to date will include 12 years of work experience partnered with a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.

Experience gained from working on large-scale Villas projects in Abu Dhabi will be preferred.
