The BIM Manager shall be responsible for planning and executing the assigned BIM activities - he may lead technical resources within one or multiple disciplines (structural, architectural, MEP, Infrastructure), and ensures BIM standards comply with the contract terms.


Core Activities & tasks:


Shall be responsible but not limited for:

  • Chair and lead BIM workshops between stakeholders
  • Provide support to Engineering & Commercial Departments during technical meetings with external consultants
  • Provide and coordinate live BIM Model walkthroughs for Internal Departments.
  • Compile BIM presentations and Consultant/Contractor BIM coordination workflows
  • Review, validate and report on Consultants & Contractors BIM Execution Plans, submitted BIM Models and BIM performance.
  • Review, track and validate that BIM Guidelines & Standards are being adhered to by external consultants across all projects
  • Update of BIM Guidelines & Standards as project phases progress
  • Review and advise on the specifying of Consultants & Contractors of projects
  • BIM submission Technical Bids for Commercial Department.
  • Manage and Coordinate with the Architects & Engineers
  • Identify new latest industry BIM Standards & Technology solutions to assist projects delivery
  • Support IT department in implementation of BIM related technology
  • Work as part of a project team to achieve consistent results
  • Define and monitor a quality control program to assure its achievement
  • Provides handson training to internal disciplines i.e. Revit, Dynamo, Revit Addins, Navisworks, Civil 3D, iBIM, Solibri.

General Responsibilities

Shall be responsible for but not limited to:

  • Review Coordination of technical discipline BIM development, standards, data requirements, etc.
  • Implement BIM technologies on large scale construction projects to include 4D (planning) and 5D (cost analysis) using BIM Models
  • Lead the technical discipline BIM team in its documentation and analysis reviews
  • Coordinate internal and external BIM training
  • Assemble composite design models for coordination meetings
  • Provide QA/QC of project and BIM model per the project specifications and client's standards
  • Allocate and dispatch daily/weekly tasks for assigned project Engineers

Ability to commute/relocate:

  • Abu Dhabi: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (required)

Education:


  • Bachelor's (preferred)

Experience:


  • BIM Manager: 5 years (preferred)
