Position Overview:


The Food and Safety Officer (Packing) plays a critical role in ensuring compliance with food safety regulations and maintaining high standards of packaging and labeling within our organization.

This position requires a strong understanding of food safety protocols, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.


Responsibilities:


Compliance Monitoring:

  • Monitor and enforce adherence to food safety regulations and standards during the packing process.
  • Conduct regular inspections to ensure proper handling, storage, and labeling of food products.
  • Identify potential food safety hazards and implement preventive measures.
  • Keep uptodate with food safety regulations and industry best practices.

Quality Assurance:

  • Perform quality checks on packaging materials, ensuring they meet company standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Verify accuracy of product labels, including ingredient lists, nutritional information, and allergen declarations.
  • Collaborate with the Quality Control team to address any packagingrelated quality issues.

Documentation and Reporting:

  • Maintain accurate records of packing processes, inspections, and corrective actions taken.
  • Generate reports on compliance, incidents, and improvements needed.
  • Communicate findings and recommendations to relevant departments, management, and external auditors.

Training and Education:

  • Conduct training sessions on food safety practices, including proper packing techniques, hygiene, and sanitation.
  • Educate employees on the importance of following food safety protocols to prevent contamination and ensure product integrity.

Continuous Improvement:

  • Identify areas for process improvement and implement strategies to enhance food safety, efficiency, and productivity in the packing department.
  • Collaborate with crossfunctional teams to develop and implement new procedures, tools, and technologies.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Food Safety, or a related field is preferred.
  • Previous experience in food packing, quality assurance, or food safety is highly desirable.
  • Knowledge of food safety regulations (such as HACCP, FDA, USDA) and labeling requirements.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills to prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with crossfunctional teams.
  • Ability to train and educate employees on food safety practices.
  • Proficient in using computer software and systems for recordkeeping and reporting.

Salary:
AED4, AED5,000.00 per month


Experience:


  • Meal plan: 2 years (preferred)
